Inspired by the great Richard Kelly, we sought a way to make these lobby feature walls into a kind of homage to his three tenants of lighting design. We used 10º white light spotlights at the top and bottom of each glass tube to effectively provide "focal glow" and consequent ambient illumination. Although sparkle naturally occurs in the specular glass tubes, we found that the use of pucklights mounted in the adjoining ceiling slot at the top of the wall - one per tube - provided "a play of brilliants" that ensured a dynamic yet ordered interplay with movement through the lobbies.
